Bobby Sweeting is a professional cyclist who grew up in Sarasota, FL and began riding at the age of 16 after a knee injury cut his high school running career short.  After upgrading quickly he signed his first pro contract at 19 years old with Nerac p/b Outdoor Lights, where he met a steep learning curve.  He spent the year following wheels, learning, and suffering at each and every NRC race.  The three following years were spent racing professionally for Aerospace, Toshiba, and Land Rover, all while pursuing a mechanical engineering degree at the University of Florida.

Bobby spent two years after college working as a design engineer at the Cycling Sports Group (Cannondale, Schwinn, Mongoose, GT) while continuing to race professionally.  After a successful 2011 season he  moved to Asheville, NC to pursue racing and coaching full time, and in 2015 formed the Alto Velo wheel brand where he works as CEO.
